FAQ
How is this different from a protein powder?
Instant coffee upgraded. Real specialty coffee with 15g of protein and prebiotic fibre already blended in, so it's one drink instead of a protein shake and a separate coffee. You make it like an instant coffee, not like a shake.
Does it taste like a protein drink?
No. It's built to taste like a coffee. The protein is a milk and collagen blend, which stays smooth and skips the chalky, whey-film finish you get from a lot of protein powders.
How much caffeine is in it, and can I have more than one a day?
Each serve has 120mg of caffeine from real coffee, the equivalent of two shots. One or two a day suits most people. If you're sensitive to caffeine, keep it to the morning.
Hot or cold?
Both. Stir it into hot water for a latte, or shake it with cold water and ice for an iced coffee. Froth or shake it if you want it smoother.
Is it dairy free? What if I'm lactose intolerant?
It contains milk, so it's not dairy free. It is low lactose, which sits more easily for a lot of people than a standard milk protein, but skip it if you avoid dairy entirely.
Will the fibre upset my stomach?
Prebiotic fibre is gentle at this amount, about 4g a cup. If you're not used to added fibre, start with one cup a day, have some water alongside it, and build up from there.
Is there any added sugar?
No added sugar. The few grams of sugar per cup are naturally occurring from the milk. It's sweetened with monk fruit, with no artificial sweeteners.
Can I have it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
It contains caffeine and added ingredients, so check with your midwife or GP before adding it in.
